Beaudesert Cars n Coffee June 7th 2026
It was a cool but sunny start to the day. I met up with a fellow club member as the cars started to roll in. I suspect the car numbers were down because of Coolies Rocks being on at the same time.
Well worth the drive to see a selection of Early and Late Falcons.

EFCCQ Ecio (Eddie) Norbido Memorial Run to Hays Landing (Billies Bay)
A summary by Al Sweeney
Another great sunny day at the base of Mount Glorious out before the cold snap of winter, with a view of Somerset Dam many people don’t usually see. The crisp morning started with a gathering at the Bundamba (Ipswich) meeting point, with me overthinking and arriving an hour earlier, thinking I got the wrong spot. But no, the trusty old birds turned up with people inside all caffeinated and chatty.
The flock took flight a little slower to suit the new speed limits. One had a spot of bother losing a dress ring into the scrub. The cars were aligned in a proud presentation with black sheep on the end (Classic Plastic ones). Three had trouble before leaving home and came in backup vehicles.
GT Dave had everything in total control with Jon’s catering pickup at Fernvale done and dusted. More like an ‘NT muster’ with the mob all together and no lost ones. Some quiet angel had the blue balloons and signs up at the turn-off, so no one turned up at Kilcoy.
Due to generous fuel prices, we all had plentiful fuel on board and no one ran dry. The usual fragrance of carnauba wax polish was in the air. Lots of bling was observed and gracious stories were heard. Geoff and Noel’s of the past week of a close friend. Dad’s inherited dream machine was restored to perfection: new golden paint, fancy headlights, and genius engineering. An exchange of recent knowledge occurred.
Thank you to those who set up, cooked, and cleaned up at champion speed for the Club meeting as the wind picked up a chill. GT Dave conducted the Club meeting with the pace car on his tail. We were presented with a quantitative financial report of perfection. Recent updates within the club and future runs and events were shared, including Early Ford National car gatherings in QLD in late July and Sydney after that. An exciting highbrow moment that has crept up with speed: the car club’s 40th anniversary in August!
KEEP AN EYE ON THE CLUB WEBSITE for updates.
We all left safely in the afternoon watching white caps on Wivenhoe dam and chilling breeze.
