This is my current restoration project. A factory GS rallye pack optioned XB. Fairly plain Jane and looking like Grand Dad's car, It is Sandstone Beige, saddle brown interior, has a 250ci 6 cylinder engine and 4 speed manual transmission, all matching numbers, on its original 12 slot steel rims. It was found in a salvage yard in Grafton in 2010 in 100 percent original and complete condition including the original Dunlop Aquajet spare tyre and dealer sticker on the rear windscreen. I intend to rebuild the car with a 302 cleveland fitted with a 4 barrel intake manifold and Holley 600 and an XA spec camshaft, respray it in another factory colour,(Mulberry pearl),fit power steering, apply GS stripes and change the interior trim colour to white on black. The goal is to keep the factory GS look so as to keep the original identity of the car but with big improvments. Note. My 100 series set up for towing duties. ARB raised suspension, Polyair airbags in the rear coils and 3500KG Towbar.
This will be a long term project as I have a house to renovate first.
